Introduction to Continuing Education

Continuing Education (CE) is an integral, and life-long part of your massage career. It is the key to keeping your practice up-to-date, as well as expanding your own knowledge.  The Institute for Therapeutic Massage offers many continuing education courses for Certified Massage Therapists, as well as courses aimed at individuals interested in learning a specific field.

We are approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a Category A provider of Continuing Education Units, and our instructors are highly qualified professionals with many years of experience behind them.

ITM is also approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and dedicated to quality education for both the massage student and the experienced therapist looking to enhance their level of expertise.

Should a graduate decide to take and pass the National Certification Exam, he/she would be required to acquire at least 50 points every four years to retain their certification status.  Our approval allows therapists who take continuing education here to apply those hours towards their requirement.

We are proud to offer over 30 continuing education classes that include:

• Anatomy in Clay
• Aromatherapy
• Chair Massage
• Event Sports Massage
• Geriatric Massage
• Hospital Based / Medical Massage
• Hot Stone Massage
• Lomi Lomi
