We offer discounted Swedish massage through our student clinics at a rate of $35.00 per hour plus tax. ITM students perform the massage under the supervision of a Certified Massage Therapist - Clinical Supervisor. Before beginning their clinic rotation, our students are thoroughly tested by their instructors, and have been deemed to be proficient in their hands-on skills.
Making An Appointment
When calling to make your appointment(s), please keep in mind that when the massage clinic is not in session, chances are that there wont be someone manning the telephone in the office. We understand that some people do not like to leave messages, however, it is the quickest and easiest way to reach us. Cancellations: As a courtesy, please give us at least 48 hours notice. There are people on the waiting list who would appreciate your space, and no-shows result in students missing valuable practice time. Confirmations: Feel free to call and confirm your appointment; however, we do try to call and remind our clients of their upcoming appointments.
First-time clients, please arrive 10 minutes early. We require all of our massage clients to fill out a confidential medical information form. Specific therapists may not be requested; nor can therapists be requested by gender. We appreciate your patronage, however the purpose of our clinic is to give student therapists the opportunity to practice Swedish massage techniques on as many different clients as possible. Please pay before your massage. This helps to relieve congestion in the reception area. Students cannot treat medical problems, but will attempt to make you as comfortable as possible. If you have a medical problem that needs further attention, we request that you see your physician and/or a private therapist. If you are, or think you might be, pregnant, you CANNOT receive a massage at our clinic. The school reserves the right to decline to give a massage to a client with a questionable medical condition, who exhibits inappropriate behavior, or who insists on a treatment not approved for student clinic practice. In the event of an emergency, it may be necessary to cancel a clinic date. This does not happen often, and you will be notified as soon as possible. Please do not bring children to the clinic -- we are unable to provide child-care in the clinic office. No cell phones or beepers in the massage room.
